MAC Venomous Villains Collection: A Dr. Facilier Face of the Day
Don't tell Tabs (shh!), only I managed to sneak in a piffling pre-weekend playtime at lunch today (my original programme was to hitting up the Whole Foods salad bar, but I fed a different hunger instead) with more stray delectables from the upcoming MAC Venomous Villains collection.
I thought it might exist fun to accept Magically Cool Liquid Powder in Cajun out for a spin, so I grabbed it and a few other goodies from Dr. Facilier's color story and put them to piece of work.
Clockwise from lower left: Pigment in Melon, Pigment in Push the Edge, Lipgelee in Resort Life, Blackface Stick in French Quarter, Magically Cool Liquid Powder in Cajun
I really liked yesterday's smokey look, but I had to run a couple of errands this afternoon, so I aimed for something a fiddling daytime friendlier this time around, with a purple, brown and peachy golden eye partnered with bronze cheeks and smashing pink lips. 🙂
I did my optics showtime, drawing a thick line along my lids with the shimmery dark-brown black Blackface Stick in French Quarter. After smoothing out the border with a finger, I layered shimmery peachy aureate Pigment in Melon on top, drawing it into the pucker.
But since every daughter needs some c o l o r in her life, I added matte purple Pigment in Push the Edge at the outer corners and along my lower lash line, finally tying the eyes together with liner along both my upper and lower waterlines using MAC Technakohl Liner in Brownboarder.
That'south about the fourth dimension I noticed that my lunch was near over, then I sped through my cheeks and lips, keeping them super simple. I applied shimmery bronze Magically Absurd Liquid Powder in Cajun on the apples of my cheeks, and shimmery peach Cremestick Pearl Liner in Gingerroot, topped with shimmery peachy biscuit Lipgelee in Resort Life, on mah lips.
A few notes on the products…
- Magically Cool Liquid Pulverization in Cajun: I love how fine this is (like baby powder) and how information technology practically melts into my skin. But if I had to choose between Cajun and Truth & Lite (they're like sisters!), I recall I'd go with Truth & Light; Cajun's just a little also orange for me and non as flexible (just a bronzer).
- Blackface Stick in French Quarter: This flossy multi-use stick ended up looking libation (toned) then I expected. If you lot wear absurd browns well, you might really similar this French Quarter on your skin.
- Lip Gelee in Resort Life ALERT! ALERT! GLITTER OVERLOAD! I rub my lips together a lot, and I'chiliad guessing that'due south why so much of the glitter in this lipgloss ends up on my chin, nose and cheeks, yikes!
This wait isn't as flashy equally yesterday'south, only I yet like how information technology turned out. I guess I was in the mood for royal at dejeuner!
What nigh your makeup today? Whatdja wearable? Something subtle, or did ya become bright and assuming? 🙂
In other news, did you peep the new MAC Pro Long Wear collections that arrived on counters today?
Happy almost-Fri, cutie pie! I hope y'all're ready for the weekend.
I'thou looking forward to a little downtime. I experience like I need to spend a few hours vegetating in front end of the television.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
